There are three common types of ambulances:
Type I: Pickup ambulance, based on a heavy-duty pickup truck chassis, with a separate driver's cab (front end). The driver's cab and the rear medical compartment are two independent sections.
Type II: Mini ambulance, based on a van chassis, with the driver's cab and medical compartment forming a single, integrated unit. The vehicle is relatively small and cannot carry too much heavy equipment.
Type III: Medical bus, based on a sectional van chassis, with the driver's cab and medical compartment integrated into a single unit. It offers spaciousness, comprehensive equipment, and a connected front and rear compartment.
